OUR NATURE
“Our Nature” refers to how humankind has taken ownership of the natural world and also to our predilection toward controlling nature for our own gain. Perhaps every species attempts this to the degree they are able, but humans have now gained an unfair advantage. Our “ownership” now requires a level of consciousness, stewardship and scope that we may not possess.
These are some of plants and animals just outside my window. They bend to our will everyday while we only occasionally reflect on our impact on them or realize how much all of this is vital to our well being.
